Fans have been heaping praises on the recently released trailer of Om Raut’s much-anticipated movie Adipurush. The movie became a hot topic of discussion on social media ever since the filmmaker had announced it. From the casting, to the disappointing teaser, the release of the trailer took social media by storm. Netizens couldn’t stop showering it with admiration as many even claim that it was way better than the teaser that was released.
Well, amongst all the chatter surrounding the movie, it is being reported that it was made with a budget of Rs 500 crores. Yes, you read that right! Not only was the movie made on a huge budget, but also the lead actors have charged whopping amounts of money for their roles. According to a report by Bollywood Life, pan-Indian superstar Prabhas, who essays the role of Lord Rama has taken approximately Rs 150 crores as his fees. The entertainment publication further reported that Kriti Sanon, who plays the character of Sita, charged Rs 3-4 crores for her role. The main antagonist Ravana played by Saif Ali Khan has taken over Rs 12 crores and Sunny Singh, who plays the character of Laxman, has charged Rs 1.5 crores for their specific roles. An adaptation of the Indian epic Ramayana, Adipurush is directed by Om Raut. The movie stars Prabhas, Saif Ali Khan, Kriti Sanon, Sunny Singh, Devdatta Nage among many others in the lead roles. It is produced by T- Series, Bhushan Kumar & Krishan Kumar, Om Raut, Prasad Sutar, and Rajesh Nair of Retrophiles, Pramod and Vamsi of UV Creations. The magnum opus is slated to release on 16th June 2023 on the big screens.
